Lucas Messer
Resident FacultyBiography
My life in higher education began at a small community college in the Midwest. I continued by completing degrees in secondary education, communication education and human communication, culminating with a PhD from Arizona State University.
Enabling students to improve professional and personal communication is tremendously rewarding. I welcome you to enroll in any of the communication courses I teach. Typically, you can find me teaching courses such as: Introduction to Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Public Speaking, Small Group Communication, and Communication in Business and Professions.
I firmly believe Scottsdale Community College is the ideal place for students to engage issues of social and civic responsibility relating to both sustainability and the study of communication.
Currently, I serve as the Department Day Chair for the Department of Communication & Film Humanities
